Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
